The Black Forest
Academy (BFA) was established in 1956 by TeachBeyond, formerly known as
Janz Team Ministries. Though the school began small—with only six students all
from the same family—the student body has grown to over 300 students from all
over the world!
The school is located in the town of Kandern which
is in state of Baden-Württemberg. Kandern is in the southwestern corner of
Germany, just touching the border of France and Switzerland.
The Black Forest Academy was created with the purpose of
serving the needs of missionary families across Europe and around the world.
It’s goal is to provide a quality Christian education in a safe and nurturing
environment. In addition to giving missionary parents the opportunity to carry
the message of the gospel around the world, schools like BFA also give parents
the assurance that their children are safe and are receiving a good education.
